Heinrich Schütz: "Der Engel sprach zu den Hirten," SWV 395 - Geistliche Chormusik
Der Engel sprach zu den Hirten is an arrangement of an Andrea Gabrieli motet. The style of the 60-year-old work is subtly different than that of Schütz. While the counterpoint is of the same ilk, the work does note divide up into such obvious phrases as do the Schütz pieces.
