Heinrich Schütz: "An den Wassern zu Babel," SWV 37 - Psalmen Davids

Schütz' setting of "By the Waters of Babylon" is the gravest and most inward of all of Schütz' Psalms of David, published in 1619.  the eight-voice setting shows the emotional extremems with which Schütz was working in his adoption of the Gabrieli polychoral style.
